Mrs. Susanne Gerber (-Tschanz) Centenary 11.08.1921
Celebrating an anniversary often means remembering the road traveled to better chart the path to follow. Rather than looking back on its past, ANEMPA preferred to meet the beneficiaries of its half-century-long action and tell their stories. Produced on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the association, the series "Portraits of centenarians | Yesterday, today, half a century ago" constitutes a unique memorial approach to highlight the richness of our elders. and highlight their "feats of arms", big or small, yesterday and today. Each month, a new portrait in words and images to discover!

Marcel Bouverat, centenary 02.09.1921
"I will re-read what you write about me, I will correct if necessary."
Marcel Bouverat shows a concern for accuracy acquired during his life as an accountant and financier, deployed in particular in watchmaking. From the watchmaking crisis, he evokes restructuring and unemployment. But the centenarian born on September 2, 1921 also willingly recounts older times: when traveling meant going as far as Basel and when the average salary in industry was CHF 190; one where owning a car was a luxury, which he liked to share with his friends. However, Marcel has always been part of the present, driven by his interest in photography or novelty. A highlight for him in the 1970s which saw the birth of ANEMPA? The arrival of IT in companies! He lived through its genesis and development. "I introduced the first IBM punch cards for payroll, quite a change."

Madeleins Vaucher, centenary 18.03.1922
They used to call me the Voice of Spring!" Born on March 18, 1922, Madeleine Vaucher laughs when she talks about this qualification that earned her her work as a telephone operator in the department store in Chaux-de-Fonnier, "Au Printemps". emblematic profession of pre-war modernity exercised by those who were called "the young ladies of the telephone". Spring, the centenary is always so in her long flowered dress and in her words which relate a woman's life crossing the decades of the 20th century

Réjane Braillard, centenary 20.04.1922
"Give me your hand, Mam'zelle, and don't say anything..." At the evocation of her great deeds as a singer-pianist "without score and an octave lower", Réjane Braillard immediately intones the success of Maurice Chevalier. Her songs, but also those of Tino Rossi and Edith Piaf form the repertoire that she intensely interpreted, in the cafés-restaurants where she worked as a sommelier-songwriter.
